Who We Are.

First and foremost: we're drummers. We're also problem solvers. We develop products and services that solve the problems working drummers face every day and provide the education to help you achieve your playing goals.

What We Do.

Put simply: we help drummers. Woodshed Percussion Concepts designs, manufactures, wholesales and retails high-quality percussion products for a variety of playing applications (primarily competition pipe band, marching percussion, drum set and orchestral.) We also offer private and group drum instruction at all ability levels and in a myriad of playing styles.


Where We've Been.

Frustration is the mother of invention, at least according to Woodshed co-founder Dominic Tancredi. As a lifelong drummer and experienced teacher, Dominic found himself unable to recommend a quality practice pad to his students. In 2000 he decided to do something about it.


The carefully hand-crafted prototype was a stark contrast to the low quality, mass produced counterparts more widely available, and (more importantly), these had just the right feel.


Dominic's students weren't the only ones who appreciated this change - word spread quickly among novice and professional drummers, the design evolved to become our Hardcorps® Practice Pads, and Woodshed Percussion Concepts, Inc. was born. Today, our Woodshed Practice Pads and our other products are used by percussionists and educators worldwide.

We're a relatively small company. We don't have deep pockets to spend mega-bucks on flashy magazine ads or to pay players to endorse us.
