About Raymond Herrera
Raymond Herrera is best known as the highly influential metal drummer of Fear Factory, of which he's a founding member. His technical chops, blazing speed and incredible endurance inspire novices and pros to head back into the woodshed. But what most don't know is that he's also a talented writer, producer and entrepreneur. His passion for gaming has led him to write and record countless video gaming soundtracks (many through his business 3volution Productions). He's part-owner of an LA recording studio with Cypress Hill's B-Real (the two collaborate to co-produce and record on projects often), as well as partner in the Redux Beverage Company (home to such infamous brands as Cocaine energy drink).

Raymond Herrera is credited with creating the "machine gun" style double-bass drum sound. Often mistaken for a computer-generated loop, Raymond actually plays every single note live (though triggers are often used to change the sound). He chalks up his incredible speed and chops more so to hard work then to raw talent. It's no wonder why the West-coast drummer has achieved three albums he's played on have been certified Gold and another certified Platinum.
